The main door is where energy is said to enter a home, so Vastu gives it particular attention. Keep it well lit, clean and free of clutter, with a nameplate that is easy to read.

Doors ideally open inward and clockwise, without creaking. A threshold (dehleez) and a small toran of mango leaves are traditional and inexpensive additions.
